Alexandre Lacazette has put clubs on red alert after telling Lyon he wants to leave the club this summer.
Arsenal are front-runners to sign the Frenchman, with the fee expected to be around £60m.
The 26-year-old has been at Lyon since 2009, and has made 206 appearances for the club, scoring on 119 occasions.
Lyon have just signed Bertrand Traore from Chelsea, which paves the way for the forward to leave the club, after getting his replacement.
Although he wants bigger and better things, and Arsenal is a bigger club. If he were to join the Gunners this summer he would still be playing in the Europa League, after Wenger’s side fell out the top four for the first time in his spell at the club.
Atletico were interested, but with Lacazette eager to move in the summer it looks unlikely, with the Spanish club having a transfer ban which ends in January.
